Day 1: Arrival and Exploration

Morning:

6:00 AM: Depart from Nairobi (or your starting point) to Amboseli National Park. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours, so you’ll reach by mid-morning. If you prefer flying, there are daily flights to Amboseli Airstrip, which take about 45 minutes.
10:30 AM: Arrive at the park gate. You’ll immediately be greeted by stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting.
11:00 AM: Check-in at your chosen lodge:
- Sentrim Amboseli: Located at the border of the park, it offers spacious tents with fantastic views.
- Amboseli Sopa Lodge: Situated on 200 acres of private land, it offers a beautiful blend of comfort and African rustic charm.
- Kibo Safari Camp: Near the park’s main entrance, it features luxury tents and a stunning backdrop of Kilimanjaro.
11:30 AM: After checking in, take some time to freshen up and relax.

Afternoon:

12:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious lunch at your lodge.
1:30 PM: Embark on your first game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. Look out for:
- Elephants o Lions o Cheetahs o Giraffes o Zebras
- Various bird species
4:30 PM: Return to your lodge and enjoy the scenic sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro from the lodge’s vantage point.

Evening:

6:00 PM: Refresh and relax at the lodge’s bar or pool area.
7:30 PM: Dinner at the lodge. Most lodges offer a variety of local and international dishes in a buffet or à la carte format.
9:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional Maasai dance performance (available at some lodges) or unwind under the starlit sky.
10:00 PM: Retire to your room/tent for the night. Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Departure

Early Morning:

5:30 AM: Wake up early for a pre-dawn game drive. This is one of the best times to spot wildlife as they are most active during the cooler hours of the day.
6:00 AM: Depart for your early morning game drive. Experience the park as the sun rises, illuminating the landscape with golden hues.
8:30 AM: Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

Mid-Morning:

9:30 AM: Check out of your lodge, but leave your luggage at the reception for later pick-up.
10:00 AM: Visit a Maasai village. Learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life. This cultural experience often includes a chance to purchase handcrafted souvenirs directly from the artisans.

Late Morning:

11:30 AM: Head back to your lodge to collect your belongings.
12:00 PM: Depart from Amboseli National Park. If you’re driving back to Nairobi or another destination, this is the ideal time to leave to ensure you arrive in the afternoon or early evening.
